On August 22, 2025, our dear friend and family member Scott Marshall was involved in a serious motorcycle accident when he collided with a deer returning home from West Marin. Scott, a talented musician and devoted father, now faces a long road to recovery.

As a retired individual and the primary caregiver for his son, Leo, and the family's rescued dogs, Django and Zoe, this accident has put immense strain on his family, especially his partner Lauren.

We are starting this GoFundMe to provide Lauren with some much-needed relief from the financial pressures that come with such a challenging situation. Funds raised will directly support:

-Arranging care for Leo: Ensuring Scott's son continues to receive the best possible care while Scott focuses on healing.

-Supporting their rescue dog: Covering costs associated with Zoe, the recent rescue husky shepherd mix Scott had recently taken on as a project.

-Household expenses: Helping to ease the burden of everyday living expenses while Scott is unable to contribute.

Scott is still currently in the ICU at Marin General and will be transferred to more long-term care with Kaiser when he is stable enough to do so. After this transition, he might appreciate visitors. We will post updates here as we receive them.
