My name is Scott Lucas. I’m 44 years old and have invented a device for helping honey bees by removing a pest called small hive beetles without harming the hive or the bees. My device uses a vacuum to create an appropriate amount of suction to remove small hive beetles and larvae without damaging the structure of the comb or harming the bees therein. I have been awarded with a United States utility patent but need to raise funds in order to buy the materials necessary to build the devices.
