If you've ever met Scottie Lodwig, you know how special he is. He's the kind of person who makes you laugh without trying, shows up without being asked, and makes everyone around him feel like family.

Scottie is the one people turn to for advice, for a listening ear, or just for steady support. He's always the first to offer help and make sure everyone else is okay.

Right now, Scottie and his family are facing something incredibly difficult. After weeks of what we thought was a cold or flu, he was admitted to the hospital, where they learned he has lung cancer that has spread to his liver and now his pancreas. He has been in the hospital for the past week and is beginning treatment.

Scottie is a devoted husband to his wife, Sae, and an amazing, hands-on dad to their two young children, ages 3 and 4. His favorite place is at home with them—especially spending weekends outside gardening with his kids, laughing and making memories. That's what he's fighting for.

Scottie has always lifted others up. Now it's our turn to lift him up.
