Right now, one of our own is currently facing one of the toughest battles of his life — and he needs us now more than ever.
Our dear friend Scott Jager, a long-standing and much-loved committee member of the Oran Park Gregory Hills Chargers JRLFC and SRLFC, has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and is currently in hospital preparing for a very intense and life-changing surgery this week.
For many years, Scott has volunteered countless hours to our junior and senior rugby league clubs and our community. His dedication, generosity, and willingness to always go above and beyond have made a lasting impact on so many players, families, and fellow committee members.
Scott is the kind of person who shows up without being asked, gives without expecting anything in return, and truly embodies what it means to be part of the Chargers family.
Beyond the club, Scott is also a hardworking single dad to the amazing Kenzie Jager. During this incredibly difficult time, he is unable to work, placing an enormous financial strain on him and his family.
Now it’s our turn to stand beside him and support him through this difficult time.
As a community, we want to rally around Scott the same way he has always rallied around us. We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden he is facing, so he can focus entirely on what matters most right now — his surgery, recovery, and healing.
Funds raised will go towards:
Medical and recovery-related expenses
Daily living costs (rent, food, bills etc) while Scott is unable to work
Supporting his family during this challenging time
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference. And if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page will help us reach more people who can.
Scott is truly an incredible person. While he will be deeply missed by the Chargers committee during his recovery, we know this is not the end of his story.
We can’t wait to see him back — bigger, stronger, and doing what he loves most.
Let’s come together and support one of our own.
