Hello Friends of Scott Grubert,

If you know Scott, you know his heart. He’s the father who puts family first, the coach who stays late to help a kid master the game, and the friend who always answers the call when someone is in need. Today, it’s Scott who needs us.

Scott has always had the need to stay busy. For the past 2 years, Scott had started a private Driving service catering to friends, neighbors, word of mouth referrals needing transportation to airports, sporting events, concerts etc.

On September 18, 2025, Scott’s life was turned upside down. While driving on the 805 freeway, his car was cut off and rolled multiple times at nearly 70 miles per hour. Miraculously, he survived, but with devastating injuries: broken bones, lung and heart damage, nerve damage in his hands and arms, and deep lacerations across his body. He spent a week in the ICU, two more weeks in the hospital, and now faces a long rehabilitation process. Much of which may not be covered by insurance.

Scott cannot work for the foreseeable future. He faces overwhelming medical bills and the uncertainty of how to support himself, while he recovers. Prior to this accident he was diagnosed with colon cancer and metastic malignant melanoma.

This is where we come in. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to cover Scott’s medical costs, rehabilitation, and living expenses. If 1,000 people each gave $50, we would reach that goal together.

Scott has always given to his community—as a three-time All-American at Adelphi University, a lacrosse coach in Southern California, and a friend who never hesitated to show up for others. Now it’s our chance to return that same support.

Every contribution, whether $20, $50, or $100, makes a difference. And if you share this campaign with just three people who know Scott, played with him, or were coached by him, we can spread his story far and wide.

Time matters. The sooner we reach this goal, the sooner Scott can focus fully on his recovery without the crushing weight of financial stress.
