Support Scott Craig's Brave Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Amy Craig Eiseman, and I am reaching out on behalf of my nephew, Scott Craig, a devoted father, husband, and friend. Scott’s journey with cancer has been a long and challenging one, but he has never given up, not once. Today, Scott needs our help more than ever as he continues his brave fight against Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer.

Scott’s Story

Scott Craig, born on August 20, 1984, was diagnosed with Stage Ill B Colorectal Cancer at the young age of 36. It all started in October 2020 when Scott underwent a colonoscopy to determine the cause of his anemia. The scan revealed a tumor in his sigmoid colon. In November 2020, Scott had surgery to remove the tumor, and his initial diagnosis was Adenocarcinoma. He followed up with 12 cycles of chemotherapy (FOLFOX) from January to July 2021. He was then deemed NED (No Evidence of Disease) after completing treatment.

However, his battle was far from over. In November 2022, a routine scan revealed that one of the three lung nodules previously identified had grown large enough to biopsy, and it came back positive for metastases. This lead to lung resection surgery on February 14, 2022, and an upgrade to Stage IV. Further scans in May of 2022 showed Peritoneal metastases and thickening at the site of the original surgery.

Despite these setbacks, Scott has remained determined. Over the years, he has undergone various treatments to include XELIRI (Capecitabine/Xeloda and Irinotecan) plus Avastin, CAPOX/XELOX (Capecitabine/Xeloda and Oxaliplatin) plus Avastin. He also participated in a clinical trial at MSK (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center) with Botensilimab and Balstilimab. While some treatments brought some stability, Scott’s cancer has continued to progress. However, he has never stopped fighting and is always keeping his focus on the future.

Where Scott Stands Today - March 2025

Scott is currently in the midst of his latest round of treatment with CAPOX plus Avastin. He has already completed 4 out of 6 rounds. Unfortunately, he has now developed a reaction to the Oxaliplatin and won’t be able to continue with it. The plan is now to continue Capecitabine and Avastin for 2 more cycles and get scans at the end of March. While the latest scan on December 2, 2024, showed rapid progression of the cancer, Scott has remained resilient, holding onto hope that further treatment will lead to shrinkage and stability. He plans to consult with a surgeon to see if he can possibly qualify for HIPEC/CRS ( Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy and Cytoreductive Surgery through Yale University Hospital if he can get shrinkage/stability from his current treatment.

What’s remarkable about Scott is not just his strength, but his ability to continue working a 9-5 job, Monday through Friday. Despite the challenges of cancer, Scott never stopped working since his diagnosis. He is an incredibly loving father to his 3 year old son, and continues to be an active, present parent who is striving to give his son a normal and happy life. Throughout his journey with cancer, Scott has always remained positive and hopeful.

How You Can Help

Scott had been fighting this battle for years, and he needs our help now more than ever. Cancer treatment is not only physically taxing but also financially draining. While Scott continues to work, his medical bills, travel expenses for treatments, and the cost of necessary care have added up. Your generous donations will help cover:

• Ongoing treatment costs, including chemotherapy and potential surgeries.
• Travel and accommodation expenses for appointments and consultations.
• Medical bills, including scans, doctor visits and medications.
• Support for Scott and his family to help them navigate these challenging times.

A Call to Action

Scott’s fight is not over. He is a warrior, a loving husband and father. He is a man who had never given up, no matter how tough the road gets. With your help, we can give him support he needs to continue this fight. Your donations, prayers, and shares of this campaign will mean the world to Scott and his family as they navigate this difficult journey.

Let’s come together to give Scott the chance he deserves. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference. Please consider donating today and sharing this page with your family, friends, and networks.

Scotty, as I call him, is more like a son to me than a nephew. I have watched him grow up through the years to be the loving husband and father he is, despite losing his own father to complications with diabetes in his early 20’s, and now battling cancer. He is so kind and loving and deserves our support!

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. It truly means the world to me.
