Hi! You probably know me if you're seeing this, but I'm Scott Cherry, a golf teaching professional at Mission Hills Country Club. Every year, I compete at US Open local qualifying, with dreams of playing in the Open. My local qualifier was on Monday, May 6th and I shot 69 (-2) to make it into a 4-for-1 playoff for the last spot. 5 holes later, I made a 21-foot birdie putt to earn the final qualifying spot. This earns me entry into final qualifying, which will be 36 holes contested on Monday, June 3rd at Pronghorn Golf Resort in Bend, OR.

Which brings me to the reason for this GoFundMe. Professional golf is not cheap, especially when there isn't a cash prize for a qualifier. I'm hoping to raise enough funds to cover flights, food, yardage books, and AirBnB for myself and my caddie. I appreciate any support you can give, let's go make it to Pinehurst!!
