Hey everyone,

This is Mecklin, Scott's son. On Saturday, April 18th, my dad fell about 13ft off our deck, suffering a compound fracture to his left leg. He was building a deck cover so my mom had somewhere to sit outside in the rain. This was pretty scary for all of us as we weren't sure how bad it was. Thankfully, besides the leg, he is mostly uninjured- and we're very grateful for that.

My dad has done just about everything a person can do. He is a veteran of both the Navy and the Army, where he served in Iraq and received a Purple Heart medal for wounds in combat. As a former police officer and firefighter, and now a plumber, he has dedicated his life to doing right by others. He is the most selfless person I have ever known.

My dad is looking at a recovery time of ~3 months before he can return to work. As the primary provider of the house, this has put a lot of stress on both my Mom and I.

All of the funds will go to my dad to help him recover. Every little bit helps to keep our family going during this time. Thank you for your time and consideration.
