Support Scot Simmons' Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
As many of you know, Scot Simmons is a dedicated father, husband, and passionate fly fishing guide who has touched the lives of many through his love of the outdoors and his mission to share those experiences with others. As a Black Minnesotan, Scot has always sought to break barriers in a sport that is often seen as predominantly white. His passion for teaching, connecting with people, and helping them build memories on the water has made him a beloved figure in the fishing community.
But now, Scot faces the fight of his life. On Friday, February 7th, 2025, Scot was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic pancreatic cancer. After receiving this devastating news, he began aggressive chemotherapy treatment. In two months, he will undergo scans and blood work to track his progress and better understand the road ahead.
While Scot has always been a fighter, his family is now facing immense emotional, physical, and financial challenges. Scot carries the health insurance for his family, and if he is unable to continue working due to his illness, his family will be without the coverage that has supported them up until now. Moreover, without the ability to work, Scot's family will not be eligible for death benefits, which would provide crucial financial support should the worst happen. The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will go directly to supporting Scot, his young son Cooper, and his devoted wife Christy as they face the costs associated with his treatment, medical expenses, and daily needs. This will allow them to focus on what matters most—being together as a family during this challenging time.
We believe in miracles, and we know that Scot’s strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit will carry him through this fight. He has always been there for his friends, clients, and family, helping others create memories and build relationships on the water. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.
No donation is too small, and every prayer, positive thought, and show of support means the world to Scot and his family. Thank you for your generosity, love, and prayers as they navigate this new chapter with hope, strength, and the belief that miracles are possible.
