I haven't been able to find employment to afford my rent for well over a year since graduating from college. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I feel like being a wheelchair user now is a significant part of the problem. I need assistance to stay afloat and to move in with friends who've graciously offered to help me out.
I have to be out of my apartment on August 31. I need some packing supplies to save/store my belongings, and to cover more personal expenses that SNAP doesn't pay for (toiletries, laundry, occasionally replacing clothing items, wheelchair upkeep, etc.). It's no fun asking for help like this, but with most assistance organizations having their funding cut lately, my list of 30+ resources hasn't turned up anything I'm eligible for.
Part of my plan going forward will be to offer remote proofreading and editing services online, which I should be able to do with nothing more than the equipment I already have and wifi. But until my housing situation is more settled, even my psychiatrist has said that I'm likely unable to handle traditional employment due to the stress I'm under. My health is tanking because of this, and I'm trying my best to not let things get worse. I can only concentrate on one big thing at a time for now.
If you've read this far, I greatly appreciate it, and I hope the rest of your day is spiffy. I'm grateful for anything anybody can spare, any reblogs of my page, and any flavor of good vibes you can send my way.
