HELP SCOOTER MOORY RECOVER AFTER A STROKE

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to ask for a little help for my amazing father-in-law, Scooter Moory. On Saturday, 5/24, Scooter had a POCI stroke (Posterior Circulation Infarct)—a serious and scary event that landed him in the hospital.

After a few tough days, he was finally released today (Tuesday, 5/27), and while we’re so thankful he’s stable and showing great improvement already, the journey ahead is going to be a long one. His doctors have strongly recommended two full weeks in an inpatient physical therapy center in Conroe to help him regain his balance, strength, and mobility. And with this being his second stroke, it’s absolutely necessary for a full recovery.

Here’s the thing: Without any medical insurance, his physical therapy costs $2,000 per day. That means we’re looking at $28,000 out-of-pocket just to get him the care he needs right now.

WHY WE'RE ASKING FOR HELP-

If you know Scooter, you know he's the guy who'd give you the shirt off his back, or lend a hand without a second thought. He's a great father and amazing grandfather. No matter how busy he is, he's always there for his two grandsons. He’s family in the truest sense of the word—not just to me, but to so many of you who love him.

If you know Scooter, you also know he's pretty stubborn, and with the high cost of rehab, he won't stay there as long as he needs to. So right now, he needs our help. I'm hoping we can all pull together to try and cover the cost of his rehab, and honestly, anything you can give will make a difference—every dollar helps.
