Title: Help Us Power Education at School of Nursing, UCH( University College Ibadan) with Solar Energy!

Campaign Story:

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The Association of Moremi Women of Southern California is launching this fundraising campaign to bring reliable solar energy to the School of Nursing, UCH (SONUCH), located in Ibadan, Nigeria. This initiative is being led by the Association of Moremi Women (AMW) (in collaboration with SONUCH alumni and partners.)

Currently, the school suffers from frequent power outages, which negatively impact learning, administration, and student welfare. The proposed solar power system will provide clean, stable electricity to all classrooms and offices—creating an environment where students and staff can thrive without the limitations of unreliable power.

After reviewing technical proposals, we are targeting the more cost-effective option at approximately ₦40 million (around $25,000). The estimate excludes wiring costs, as the school’s existing electrical system is outdated and must also be upgraded. With new wiring included, it will be about $30,000.00

• Install a functional solar power system

• Support necessary rewiring of the building

• Create a safe, energy-efficient, and productive learning environment
