Support Scena Punde's battle against breast cancer

Our dear friend and CoHeart, Scena Punde, is in need of our LUV and financial support as she begins her battle to defeat breast cancer. I asked Scena to write this initial post so you all can catch a glimpse of her strength and incredible spirit. 

From Scena:

I have spent my life making sure that others around me are taken care of and cared for. I was healthy, happy, and spent all my energy to make sure my family, friends, and peers always had someone to turn to during any and all life and work struggles they were going through. On April 4, after a routine doctor's appointment, I was not ready for the news I was about to get. At the age of 36, with no family history of cancer, I had been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. I recently found out that I am also BRACA 1+.

After my diagnosis, my fiance Robert and I decided to postpone our October 2023 wedding to “sometime in late 2024/early 2025.” We did not know where this road was going to take us, so we decided to tie the knot on April 14, 2023 with a few people by our side in a park in sunny Southern California. We then headed to Vegas and had ceremony #2 with some of my Dallas friends.

My bucket is full, and I am ready to tackle what is ahead. I have a long road to recovery between multiple rounds of chemo, a double mastectomy and radiation, but I know with the support system that I have at work and at home, I will make it out on the other side."

Whether you have known Scena for a few months or for a decade, you have been a recipient of her unending generosity, comforting smile, and personalized care. It is our turn to take care of Scena however we can to help remove the financial burdens of medical bills, dog care, and housing while she is in chemo.
