Our VEX U robotics team, SCA (SoCal Alliance), qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championship. It's one of the largest robotics competitions in the world. This event brings together the best student robotics teams from across the world to compete and showcase their STEM skills.
However, attending Worlds is pretty expensive. We need funds to help cover competition registration, travel, and lodging, so our team can represent Southern California at Worlds.

What is VEX Robotics?
VEX Robotics is a global robotics program where students design, build, and program robots to compete in engineering challenges. Teams start at local competitions, advance through regional events, and the best teams advance to the World Championship.
The program helps students develop STEM skills, teamwork, and problem solving skills that prepare them for future careers in STEM fields and beyond.
What is SoCal Alliance Robotics (SCA)?
SoCal Alliance started in 2022 as a collaboration between teams in Southern California’s VEX Region 4. Thanks to the dedication of students and alumni, SCA has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit organization based in Southern California.
Our mission is to mentor and support robotics teams via mutual growth. During the 2025–2026 VEX season, we supported teams from many different schools and organizations, including:
21S, 471B, 507A, 599Z, 1138B, 2147Z, 2150A, 3050W, 3050X, 3284B, 8838D, 34020A, 62019A, 98601C, 99999D, EZ, and SCA.
This year, our alumni came together to form our VEX U team, SCA, independent from schools, now proudly representing the 501(c)(3) nonprofit at the college level of VEX.
Why We Need Your Help
Qualifying for the VEX World Championship is awesome, but attending requires funding for:
- Competition registration
- Lodging during the event
- Travel and transportation
- Essential competition expenses
Your support will help ensure our team can attend Worlds and compete against the best teams in the world.
Supporting the Future of Socal Alliance
If we are able to raise more than our Worlds expenses, the remaining funds will go toward our long-term missions:
- Housing Middle and High School robotics teams under the SCA nonprofit
- Providing resources and mentorship for those newly housed SCA teams
- Supporting more schools that need competitive mentorship in robotics programs
We truly appreciate any support you can provide, whether through a donation or by sharing our campaign. Every contribution helps bring us one step closer to representing Southern California at the VEX Robotics World Championship and continuing our mission to support robotics students across our community.
