Help Save Scar’s Life

UPDATE 9/25/24 10am

Scars Dr. called to tell us that after further testing she confirmed that his small intestine does need to be repaired, she also let us know that he has trauma to a kidney that she will not know more about until she gets him into surgery. She still assured us that he can make a full recovery after surgery is complete. Scar is so lucky to still be alive but did suffer serious injuries.

I just spoke to Scar’s Dr. She explained that he is doing well and is stable, the concern is that his small intestine has slipped into a pocket in his groin area, she is doing further tests to get a better image of exactly what’s going on, but she assured us that if he goes into surgery he will 100% make a full recovery and be back to his normal self within 36 hours with light exercise for 2 weeks.

Hello everyone, this is something | have never done before and I'm feeling very nervous about it.

Our names are Cassie and Kaine. Last night just after dark our sweet puppy was hit by a truck while crossing our quiet dirt road to come home after playing with our neighbors dog like always.

Unfortunately the truck did not stop to let us know what happened. As soon as we saw his injuries I got the Littleton Emergency Vet on the phone but they were unable to see him. After then contacting the Burlington Emergency Vet and being told they could see him, we headed there. What I had hoped was going to be not as bad as I thought, turned into my worst nightmare. I am unfortunately headed home without Scar, he is being kept for observation and is expected to need surgery to be treated for internal bleeding, a hernia, and a bleeding prepuce. After paying large chunk tonight, the remainder of the treatment will cost over $7,000 more.

I never thought l'd be on the internet asking the community to help save my pups life, but here I am.
