Hi, I am Jen Gabuyo. I am setting up a GoFundMe request on behalf of my good friend/colleague in the Philippines, Jonel Rellama, for the medical needs of his only daughter, Scarlett Rellama, who has been diagnosed with leukemia and has been going through treatment for the last 3 years. They tried to cover the medical expenses the best they can, but the last 3 years have taken a toll on them financially and it has depleted all the means they have.

Below is Scarlett's father's plea for help.

Dear Blessed Donors,

We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping my daughter, Scarlett Olivia Rellama, a 6-year-old battling leukemia for over 3 years now here in JRBY Cancer Institute - Premiere Medical Center in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Scarlett will undergo extensive treatment due to a relapse of the cancer in her body, which has reached the brain. The extensive chemotherapy will take 3-4 months in order to achieve remission in her bone marrow. Once successful in remission, she will undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) in St. Luke's Hospital in Quezon City. This procedure is very life-threatening and very expensive. However, this is the last option advised by the doctors for her survival.

Scarlett Olivia Rellama’s parents face significant medical expenses that are not fully covered by insurance. Your donation will directly contribute to her cancer treatment and Bone Marrow Transplant procedure that is urgently needed. Every dollar counts towards giving Scarlett the best chance at fighting this disease and returning to a healthy life.
