I’m reaching out on behalf of my sweet little niece, Scarlett and sister, Valerie. Recently, Scarlett was involved in an accident that left her with serious injuries. She underwent critical surgery and, while we’re incredibly thankful and blessed she pulled through, she’ll now need to spend the rest of the summer in a wheelchair while attending physical therapy to regain strength and mobility.

This unexpected tragedy has turned my sister’s world upside down. She’s not only Scarlett’s mom but also the sole provider of their household. With Scarlett now needing round-the-clock care, my sister has had to take time off work — unpaid — to be there for Scarlett through every appointment, physical therapy session, and tough moment.

Between medical bills, therapy costs, transportation, and daily living expenses, the financial pressure is piling up fast.
