Hi friends,

I’m creating this fundraiser for my best friend Karsyn and her beloved kitten, Scarlett. Scarlett is just 10 months old and recently had to undergo an emergency full-leg amputation — a difficult but necessary surgery to give her the chance at a healthy, pain-free life.

Scarlett was born with a condition caused by her umbilical cord wrapping tightly around her leg in the womb. At first, she got by — but over time, the missing paw began to damage her joints and overwork her remaining leg. After multiple x-rays and vet consultations, her care team determined that amputating the entire leg up to the hip was the only option to protect her long-term well-being.

The surgery went well, and Scarlett is now in recovery. But the cost has already risen to over $6,000 — an unexpected financial burden that Karsyn simply can’t take on without your support.

Karsyn has poured her heart into helping others, including recently leading a fundraiser to support education access in Guatemala — a cause close to her heart. Now, she needs help close to home!‍⬛❤️
