SCAM LIKELY is ecstatic to announce we are a part of an official South by Southwest showcase representing Wisconsin artists in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, March 12th presented by Jason Burczyk & The Cooperage (thank you so much ahhhhhh!). This is a big step in our career and we are humbly asking for your support as we approach our biggest opportunity as a band thus far.

We will be in Austin from March 9th-16th and will attend panels, mentor meetings, and other official & unofficial showcases. This is a unique opportunity to further our artistic career by connecting with professionals and other artists quite literally from around the world and we are asking for funds to make the most of this chance. Honestly, we are broke and we live like it too, so your help is what will make this trip possible! The funds raised from this campaign will be directly used to support us resting our little midwest heads, feed our cute bellies, and drive a whole 18 dang hours to Texas. We want to go into this to represent OUR SCENE - which you are a part of and we are so grateful to be in a position to be an ambassador for.

For those who do not know, Scam Likely is a Indie Punk/Garage Rock outfit originally from Milwaukee, WI but recently relocated to Chicago, IL. The group is Charlee Grider on vocals/rhythm guitar, Thierry Diatta on bass guitar, and Cary Dean Elger on drums. The group formed in the Milwaukee DIY scene in early 2022, quickly gaining a reputation as prolific, high-energy performers. Less than a year later, they released their debut album Getting Worse — a potent and dizzying tale of absurdity, mental health crises, and doomed relationships — to a sold-out audience at Pabst Theater’s Colectivo Backroom. The group followed this success with the release of their sophomore album Yolk, and now continue to expand on the message that lifted them from basement shows to an ever-growing audience.
