Support Saylor's Fight Against Brain Tumor
Donation protected
Last week, Taigen noticed Saylor was not acting like herself. She had been having trouble walking straight, leaning on things for support, and seemed more lethargic than usual.
After going to school and her regular therapy appointment, both confirmed what Taigen had noticed—that she wasn’t quite herself. Her therapist encouraged Taigen to take her in to get checked out, which Taigen had already arranged to do.
After seeing her doctor, they felt further testing was needed and sent them to the ER. After some imaging, the doctors discovered a brain tumor on Saylor’s brain stem and decided it was best to airlift her to Primary Children’s where she spent the last five days undergoing further testing and observation. Taigen and Grady are waiting on results to determine next steps in this battle.
We know so many would love to help this sweet family in any way, and this Go Fund Me was set up as a way to do that. Money will be used for medical bills, travel expenses, and costs of daily living so that Grady and Taigen can spend time helping Saylor and their other girls through this journey.
We believe there are angels surrounding them, lifting them up and giving them the courage they need right now. We love the Burch family so much, and we know you do too. Please keep them in your prayers.

Update from Saylor’s parents:
Just sending an update regarding our sweet Saylor. We went to Salt Lake earlier this week to get a final pathology report and make some preliminary plans moving forward. We received the official diagnosis of a brain stem tumor called DIPG, also referred to as a DMG. The tumor did come back malignant and is known to be quite aggressive. We have met with our radiation + neuro oncologists and have decided to move forward with radiation treatment starting on May 12th. Our hope and prayer is the tumor will shrink enough to dissipate symptoms. We truly are being lifted by our army on both sides of the veil, and couldn’t be more humbled by the offerings of prayer, love, and support. We have some hard and heavy days ahead, but He is mindful of us and our circumstances. We know everything is in His hands and there is a plan.
