Support Sayasa’s Fight Against Lupus Nephritis

My name is Dixant Rai, currently residing in Pennsylvania, US. I am raising funds for my cousin Bigyan’s 13-year-old daughter, Sayasa, who is currently in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Patan Hospital, Lalitpur, Nepal, fighting a severe case of lupus nephritis (Grade IV).

Currently, her medical team is waiting for her blood pressure to stabilize before proceeding with critical procedures like a kidney biopsy and regular dialysis.

In addition, she urgently needs treatment with 7 doses of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), which costs NRS 90,000 per dose (about USD 675), and Rituximab 500, a medication crucial for controlling her lupus. Each dose of Rituximab costs NRS 50,000 (about $375), and she needs 12 doses in total (6 doses twice over the course of treatment).

The costs for these medications, along with her ongoing PICU care and medications which amount to NRS 23,000 (about USD 175) per day, are overwhelming for her family, and they are unable to begin full treatment until the funds are secured. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward starting her life-saving treatment and covering her hospital expenses.
