Hello Friends,

My boy Sawyer is sick. Very sick.

I need help. Not only deep prayers, but some financial support as well. If you know me, you know that asking for help doesn't come easy for me, but at this point, I am asking.

Sawyer was diagnosed this past Friday afternoon with IMHA. This stands for Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. This is a very destructive and potentially fatal blood disease. He is in severe critical condition over at the VMC (Veterinary Medical Center) in DeWitt. He is getting blood transfusions (2 so far since yesterday) and whatever else medically wise he needs to save his life with constant monitoring of his blood levels, oxygen, heart rate, keeping him hydrated, and trying to get him to eat. He is winning the hearts of many over there and they are truly invested in his care.

This literally came upon him out of nowhere. I am so thankful that I know my dogs well enough to know when something is not right, and was able to get him in as soon as I could, and then over to VMC for the care he needs around the clock.

I am hoping and praying so hard he can survive this.

My dogs are my life. They are all I have. He is only 4 years old!! He doesn't deserve this.

Sawyer is a very active, loving, playful boy. He is greatly missed by Tayeh and Dexter. He loves agility and has gotten many titles and awards up to the Master levels. We also do Rally (more titles/awards) and have started a bit in Obedience competitions as well with a couple titles already.

He's my Soy Sauce! (that's his nickname)

The initial VMC estimate is for $8 to $10 K for 3-5 days of hospitalization, but could increase if he needs to stay longer or need other treatment.

Even though no amount of money compares to my love for him, this is a huge financial burden. Every single penny is worth giving him a chance! I can't or won't give up on him.

That is why I am asking for your help.
