Hi! My name is Sawyer McCall and I am a 15-year-old freshman at Olathe High School in Olathe, Colorado. Recently, on April 26th, I competed in the Colorado National History Fair State contest in the Senior Individual Performance Category. Here, I received first place. This not only means I am now the 2025 Colorado state champ, but I have also qualified for the National Contest! The National contest will be held at the University of Maryland on June 8th-12th (the 10th is my sixteenth birthday)! Here, I will perform my play that I have been working on since September. Coming from a small town, traveling 1,892 miles with no travel fee help from my school or NHD is a large hurdle. I ask you for help on this journey as I work to reach nationals!!
