Support Saw Ehta Ler Continue to Make This a Better World

For my friends heartbroken by current events and looking for a way to "be generous with your treasure", please consider helping support our dear friend and honest-to-god superstar, Saw Ehta Ler, from Myanmar, who has been caught up in the USAID cuts.
Saw Ehta Ler was our host student in 2014 and has become a fierce community advocate in Myanmar, focused on local education efforts, transforming literally hundreds of lives along the way (pic of him above teaching in a community center). In August of 2024, he began a full ride scholarship in the Philippines for a master's in education, selected as one of only 107 from a pool of more than 8000 applicants. A few weeks ago that scholarship was abruptly terminated, leaving the scholars to fend for themselves. Going back to Myanmar is NOT currently a realistic option for him as his neighborhood was attacked via airstrike by a Military Junta group (see photo below). He has the option to stay in the Philippines and finish his program, but that will cost a minimum of $8500 usd over the next year and a half for tuition, room, board, and other expenses. While that seems incredibly affordable to many of us, it is a pricetag well out of reach for someone in his circumstances.
While he is just one person, he is a giant way to make a direct impact at a time when many of us feel a bit helpless. Saw Ehta Ler is an amazing human, who despite finding himself in this predicament, continues to praise the USA, and express gratitude for everything our country has done to uplift him and his country. If you would like to join us in supporting him through the completion of his degree, let me know and I can either facilitate or put you directly in touch with each other.
