Savvy is my friend, and she’s going through an incredibly difficult time. Just yesterday, she was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left her with both wrists broken. As of this morning, she’s in surgery, and the doctors say she won’t be able to work for at least six weeks. To make matters more challenging, her VA health insurance won’t cover the ambulance ride, and all of her protective gear—including her helmet—had to be cut off by the medical team.

Savvy was already struggling before the accident. Her hours at work had been cut significantly, and motorcycle riding was her only real outlet. Now, with mounting medical bills and the need to replace her gear, she’s facing even more financial hardship.
