Hi. This is my daughter, Savina. She was born with spinabifida myleomeningocele. She has a VP shunt to prevent hydrocephalus and an AV shunt in her arm for dialysis, a neurogenic bladder, renal disease (chronic kidney failure), high blood pressure; survived a multi-dog attack resulting in partial loss of feeling in her hand and multiple skin grafts and survived giving birth to her beautiful son. Savina has fought to survive her entire life.

She received a kidney transplant in 2020; but the transplanted kidney recently failed (last month). Her body is not recovering well. Her hemoglobin keeps dropping. She’s received 14 transfusions in the last 10 days. Savina is currently on a dialysis schedule of 3 times per week. Her bladder does not work properly so she self-caths (catheter) several times a day. She’s fighting to survive each day so she can continue being with her family.

On that note…Savina, her husband and son need financial assistance to get them through the coming days as she tries to heal. She is a frequent guest at the specialty hospital in Shreveport (located 2.5hrs from her hometown). Her husband often has to find daycare for their 14mo old son, and put work on hold during these emergencies. They need assistance with transportation and hotel stays when Savina is sent to Shreveport for any long term visits or procedures.
