Support Savanna’s journey to beating Leukaemia
Donation protected
As you may know, Nick and Juliette were hit with devastating news. On the 21st of September 2024 their 15 months old daughter woke up from a nap with a little rash and after a quick visit to A&E at the Royal Alex she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. From this they were immediately admitted and wouldn’t go home before weeks.
Savanna was transferred to London St George’s Children oncology unit to start chemotherapy the next morning, followed by a transfer to the Royal Marsden in Sutton.
Both Nick and Juliette have remained by their daughter’s side day and night ever since.
They run the Argyle Arms Pub in Brighton and were both heavily involved in every aspect of the business including the kitchen which as a result had to close for a while resulting in a financial struggle for the business which they rely on to live.
Having to take a step back from the pub and therefore covering their usual hours has required to hire a number of extra staff to ensure continuity of the operations but also unfortunately adding to the financial burden.
A lot of the chemotherapy happens in London meaning they have to travel back and forth a few times a week. As chemotherapy is incredibly toxic and harsh especially for little ones they have to be incredibly careful not to be in contact with anyone who is unwell and have to spend a huge amount of time in isolation at home when not in hospital. But onwards and upwards as Savanna is showing encouraging signs of improvement. Still with another two years of chemotherapy ahead, it is only the beginning of the journey!
The shift in the lifestyle to protect, recover and detox her little body is not an easy one but is certainly made a lot easier with the support of amazing friends and family.
Whatever you can donate will be imimensely appreciated by the family and will contribute to Savanna’s journey to recovery, alternatively a Tupperware of lasagna will be incredibly well received when coming home after a long day of treatment at the hospital.
thank you ♥️
