My name's Savanna. I'm a 34-year-old single mom with 6 kids at home: 16, 12, 7, 3, and 1-year-old twins. On January 27, I woke up with the worst migraine ever possible. I was going into work, but I knew I wasn't going to last; the pain was so bad. I called my kids' father to pick them up, and he called 911. By the time I got to the hospital, I was septic. My WBC is extremely high, showing an infection, but they're not sure where. They did an MRI to see about my head pain, and this is where everything goes south. I have multiple aneurysms on my brain, one of which is leaking, causing lots of pressure and swelling on the brain. I underwent a cerebral angiogram, and they wanted to coil the leaking aneurysm, but due to the severity of the swelling, they are unable to. I am being transferred to Albany Med ICU to have part of my skull cut so they can relieve some of the pain and pressure on my brain.
I am not one to ask for help; I always figured things out on my own, but now I have no choice. I will be having a lengthy hospital stay and returning to work is currently not in the foreseeable future. With the bills and kids' needs while I am away, I am desperately asking for help. Any help can be paid back once I am back on my feet. Thank you!
