Help Rebuild Hope in Savanna-la-Mar After Hurricane Melissa

My name is Britney Donaldson, founder of Mood Makers Lux Co., but before I’m any of that. I’m a proud resident of Savanna-la-Mar, Jamaica.

When Hurricane Melissa hit, it didn’t just damage homes it shattered peace of mind. Families I grew up around lost everything overnight.. roofs, belongings, and in many cases, the little sense of safety they had left. Watching videos and photos of the destruction broke my heart, and I knew I couldn’t just sit back and watch.

This fundraiser is my way of giving back to the people who shaped me.

I’ve always used my business to bring joy and beauty into people’s spaces but right now, our community needs restoration.

Funds raised will go directly to help families most affected especially households who have been displaced or left struggling to meet basic needs.

How the funds will be used:

• Emergency food and clean water

• Clothing and hygiene essentials

• Home repair materials (tarps, zinc, wood, etc.)

I have trusted family members and community contacts on the ground in Savanna-la-Mar who will personally help with distribution to make sure every dollar goes where it’s needed most.

I’ll also be sharing updates, photos, and receipts throughout the process so everyone who contributes can see exactly how their generosity is changing lives.

Even though the goal is $4,000, I know the needs are far greater but every bit helps. Whether it’s $5, $10, or a share of this link, it all counts toward rebuilding hope for someone who’s lost so much.
