Hi everyone,

A week ago, a very sweet and affectionate cat showed up near my home with a painfully swollen toe. She was clearly in distress but incredibly friendly, so I brought her inside and took her to the vet the next day.

She’s received amazing care from my local vet. Shoutout to River City Vet. They immediately treated her infected toe and fleas and provided lots of advice and resources. We also discovered she’s microchipped, but unfortunately, her information hasn’t been updated since 2022. I reported her as found, but after more than a week, no one has come forward to claim her.

While I’m unable to keep her permanently, I’m committed to making sure she’s safe and cared for until we find her a forever home.

Sadly, her toe still isn’t healing properly, and after X-rays, the vet believes it has been broken/fractured for a few weeks so we are focusing on curbing any infections spreading. I’m asking for help to cover the costs of her care while I contact local shelters to possibly sponsor my fostering of her or I can find personally find her a new, loving home.

Every donation — big or small — will go directly toward her medical care and recovery. She’s incredibly gentle, loving, and deserves a second chance.
