Support Savannah Peck's Road to Recovery

I'm Maria Embrey and Savannah Peck is my (foster) daughter. She is my son's best friend since middle school, and Jamie and I went through foster parenting class to get her when she needed us. She is our daughter, and her son is our grandson. She's 25 years old and just recently moved out of our home into her own. However, with events that took place on November 16, 2024, have changed her life and ours forever. She was involved in an accident that has left her in critical condition physically. Thankfully, she survived, and Kingstyn was with us that evening. She was the passenger, so the accident was not her fault.

It has left us to deal with a lot. Currently, she has had 3 surgeries and will need another 3 or 4 more. She has a severe concussion, broken tibia, shattered ankle, fractured hip, fractured nose, broken shattered hand, 4 broken ribs, punctured lung, bruised lungs, fractured bruised tailbone, fractured nose (that will require surgery at a later date), and has wounds that require wound care. I think I named all injuries, but I honestly can't remember all, and each day we have been told more. She's also type 1 diabetic, along with other health issues.

She will be in the hospital for an unknown period along with rehab for 2 to 3 weeks, then moved to our home for us to continue her care.

Jamie and I take care of Kingstyn and all of his needs and wants. Adding her bills and extras needed for her care will be more than we can accommodate. All of my children are willing to help any way they can and have been very supportive to Savannah. She will not be mobile for at least 12 weeks once all surgeries are completed, not counting her nose surgery.

We need to keep her rent and other bills paid until we decide what the next move is. We will be applying for disability, but that could take a bit. She's not going to be the same again.

We thank God daily Savannah has made it this far and to help her on her long, painful recovery.
