Saundra Johnson is my sister in my heart. We met in the fight against AIDS and became family almost immediately. Saundra has always been a warrior—standing up for people dying of AIDS, for Black women, for queer people, and for anyone who needed her. She is raw life, raw laughter, raw joy, and raw love. Her presence has been a source of strength and hope for so many, and her impact on our community is immeasurable.
Now, Saundra is facing her own battle. She has been given just four weeks left to live due to kidney failure. As she enters this final chapter, we want to honor her legacy by ensuring she receives the care and comfort she deserves. Saundra has spent her life fighting for others, and now it’s our turn to fight for her. The funds raised will go directly toward providing a hospice situation that befits her spirit and the love she has given so freely to others.
We are reaching out to our community and beyond for support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help bring Saundra peace and dignity in her last weeks. Please join us in showing Saundra the same compassion and generosity she has shown to so many. Thank you for helping us honor her life and legacy.
