Dear Friends and Family,
We often find ourselves questioning why certain things happen, especially to good, kind-hearted people. Today, we ask ourselves that very question about a humble man, Saul Cardona.
Following in the footsteps of his parents in the realm of public service, Saul began his law enforcement career in October 1988 as a patrol officer with the Eagle Pass, Texas Police Department. His intelligence and dedication soon led him to serve as an investigator with the DEA task force for several years. In February 1989, Saul became an inspector with the U.S. Customs Service, which later evolved into U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where he is currently employed.
Saul’s life is centered around his family. He has been married to his wife, Hopey (Martinez) Cardona, for 36 beautiful years. Together, they have four children: Saul, Javier, Isaac, and Ariana. They are blessed with two daughters-in-law, Anna and Brianna, and two precious granddaughters, 12-year-old Olivia and 3-year-old Sophia.
A dedicated father, provider, and friend, Saul has always cherished time with his family. He enjoys roping and spending time with their cattle and bucking bulls, which they provide for local rodeos. However, his greatest joy comes from spending time with his granddaughters.
Sadly, Saul has been battling cancer for several years, and it has now spread to other areas of his body. As the fight continues, we are reaching out to ask for your support to help Saul and the Cardona family during this difficult time. Any financial assistance you can offer will go a long way in covering medical expenses and the many challenges that come with fighting this terrible illness.
Though the road has been long and exhausting, Saul continues to fight every single day, maintaining a positive outlook for himself and his family. We are immensely grateful for any help you can provide and humbly ask that you keep Saul and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
The power of prayer is beyond measure, so please keep them coming. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support.
