Longline: existence lingers within the fragile space between grief and healing

Description

This film explores the weird space that exists between grieving life altering events and finding the joy in the rest of your life. I want to create something that feels surreal, unnerving, and raw. My hope is that even a small group of people can look at this film and say yes i’ve experienced this.

Throughout my time in college I have completely fallen in love with cinematography. Although I am in a way directing this film I want it to be seen through its cinematography. I want to create life through the camera within the composition, the movement, and the lighting. I feel my voice is growing louder and I am so excited to explore that visually through a film that is my own. I know I have so much more growing to do but I hope this film captures the growth I have gone through and is my best work to date.
