Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
On April 14, I was taken to the hospital after extensive swelling in my right leg made it impossible to walk. I was diagnosed with a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and a pulmonary embolism, a life-threatening condition that required immediate and intensive medical care. I was told that I had likely had this developing for months, and I was lucky to be alive. After a harrowing 5-day stay in the hospital, and a painful surgery to remove a massive clot and insert a stent in my abdomen. I am now on the road to recovery. However, the financial burden from this unexpected medical emergency is overwhelming not to mention I am still paying off some medical expenses from last year's accident when I broke both arms.
Despite having insurance, the costs of hospitalization, treatments, medications, and follow-up care are substantial. I am currently facing a medical bill of $12,000 and this is putting a significant strain on my financial and emotional stability. As I focus on healing and regaining strength, I am asking for your support to help alleviate some of the financial stress.
The funds raised will go directly towards covering the following expenses:
- Hospital bills and medical treatments
- Prescription medications
- Follow-up visits and ongoing medical care
- Any additional unforeseen medical expenses
I have hesitated to create this GoFundMe because I had to ask for your help last year but, I was just denied financial aid from the hospital and my rent went up. I know that my health needs to come first so I humbly ask for your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and will be deeply appreciated.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your network. Your generosity and support during this difficult time mean the world to me and my loved ones.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With gratitude,
Sasha Buzzetta
