Hello, I'm organizing this fundraiser for Sasha-Gaye Forrester, who's a single mother in Jamaica.
Sasha, as she's affectionately called, has been forced to raise her three children on her own, ages three, eight, and 17, after the youngest two children's father died tragically in a terrible accident close to two years ago.
Her life has been upended since the incident as she has suffered emotionally and financially, as he was the main breadwinner.
Fast forward to 2025, the family was dealt another hard blow following Hurricane Melissa, which ravaged Jamaica, leaving them without a place to call home.
The mother of three, despite her situation, has been helping to coordinate aid for others impacted by the hurricane.
She's starting over from scratch, having faced homelessness. She's now looking to build a home so her children can have a roof over their heads.
But as she lays the foundation block by block, she's hampered financially and is seeking help.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help a long way in getting Sasha and her children closer to having a place to call home. Thank you for the support.
Please see attached photos of the foundation she has started in Belmont, Westmoreland, where the eye of the hurricane passed.
