Hi everyone, I’m reaching out during a very vulnerable time in my life to ask for support. I have hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy or HOCM, a serious heart condition that affects how my heart functions. On November 11th of last year, I experienced a lethal arrhythmia that nearly took my life. By the grace of God, I had an implanted defibrillator that detected the arrhythmia and shocked my heart back into rhythm, saving my life. I was hospitalized from 11/11 to 11/13, and since that terrifying event, my life has completely changed. Over the past months, my doctors have tried multiple medications in an effort to control my heart rate and prevent another arrhythmia. After careful evaluation, my medical team has determined that the best and safest option for me is to receive a pacemaker with a defibrillator which will be implanted 2/9/26. This device will help regulate my heart rate, greatly reduce the risk of another life-threatening arrhythmia, and improve my overall quality of life so I can live with more stability and peace of mind. While I am incredibly grateful to be alive, the medical expenses associated with hospitalizations, treatments, medications, and this upcoming procedure have become overwhelming. Funds raised will help cover medical bills from my hospitalization, the pacemaker/defibrillator procedure, and ongoing cardiac care, medications, and recovery costs. Any donation—no matter the amount—means more than I can express. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping me in your prayers is just as appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, love, and support during this journey. I am so grateful to still be here, and your help will allow me to focus on healing and moving forward. With love and gratitude, Sary
