My name is Saryn, and I am trying to escape a toxic household where even basic needs are not met. The house has no electricity and minimal plumbing (meaning no shower, no bath, and not even a flushing toilet or clean water on tap.) Every day I’m met with passive aggressive behavior, and straight up aggressive behavior such as being yelled at and things being thrown or destroyed. I am tormented with emotional abuse that destroys me inside. I have a long history of mental health struggles due to being abused throughout my childhood, and I still struggle now with suicidal ideation and self-harm. My environment greatly contributes to these struggles, not being able to even shower or bathe when I need to, being yelled at and chastised by my family frequently, and passive aggressive jabs hurting my heart on the daily.

My current plan is to move to Connecticut to be reunited with my partner who has a part-time job there. I will need money for a U-Haul that'll take me from Maine to Connecticut, money for a deposit on an apartment, as well as several months of rent and other expenses to allow me time to find a job after moving.

I have a loose plan on seeing my partner and friends again at Anthro New England in January 2027 using a cheaper alternative hotel that will be paid for by my partner, as I will be saving all of this money towards this big move across multiple states.
