Support Sarasota Seniors After House Fire
Donation protected
Hey guys, my parents are in need of some help.
On Monday, June 23rd, at approximately 6 at night, an electrical fire ripped through part of their house in Sarasota, Florida, and it's currently uninhabitable. The Red Cross has helped them get a hotel for a few days, but that's not going to last until they know what to do or where to go next. I am helping them out with what I can and looking into more information on programs that can help seniors out.
My parents are retired and on a fixed income. Thankfully, they were able to get out safely, and their bedroom was untouched, so they have clothes. I am asking if anyone can help out and donate what you can to help them fix up their mobile home. My fiancée's parents are currently letting them stay in their RV, but this is not a long-lasting solution.
My parents have gotten in touch with multiple organizations that are willing to give discount prices to help fix their home so it will once again become livable. Unfortunately, it's going to cost some money on my parents' end to help get construction started. We are asking for any help that you can give; nothing is too small.
My parents are fantastic people and have helped multiple friends and family out throughout the years when others have been in need. They have always been the type who will give what they can, whether that's money, physical labor, a place to stay, food, or a helping hand. They hate to be in this position, as many would, where they are now the ones that need to ask for help.
