We never thought a family vacation to France would turn into a fight for Sara’s life. In a single moment, our world was turned upside down when Sara suffered a brain aneurysm. She is currently in a coma and is now also battling a serious lung infection. Adding to her injuries, Sara also has a fractured left foot and is currently in a cast.

It is incredibly difficult to be so far away, wishing we could be right by her side every second. The distance only adds to the heartbreak of seeing her in this fight.

If you know Sara, you know she is the person who always shows up for everyone else. She is an amazing daughter, sister, and friend, but above all, she takes immense pride in being an aunt. As a proud College of the Holy Cross alumna (Class of 2009), she has always carried the spirit of being a "person for others" into everything she does. Whether she’s sharing her love for music and or cooking, enjoying a day at the beach, working on a craft project, posting on social media, or just making someone laugh, she spends her life bringing joy to others. She is funny, caring, and always the first to offer a helping hand. Now, she’s the one who needs us.

Being overseas has created an enormous financial hurdle. Her medical care, ICU stay, and the specialized transport required to get her back home to the U.S. are not fully covered, and the costs are mounting daily.

How you can help:

We are raising funds to cover her ICU care in France, treatments for the aneurysm and infection, and the costs of getting her safely back home once she is stable. Funds will also go toward any necessary living and care expenses in France until she is medically cleared to travel.

Sara has spent her life caring for others, and our goal is to ensure that when she wakes up, she can focus entirely on healing without the weight of life-altering debt.
