Support Sara Starr's Journey to Kidney Transplant

Sara Starr is getting a kidney!! After a long battle with diabetes from a young age, the disease has put Sara into kidney failure. Even with her own challenges through all the years, she has been such a wonderful mother to our children, a great friend, and a hard worker. The last 7 months have been challenging on dialysis. Sara has taken a lot of time and made many trips to Boston and was trained to do dialysis at home so she could spend as much time with her kids and still keep as much of a normal life for them throughout this journey.

We are beyond blessed to have found a donor so quickly who ended up being the perfect match and are now scheduled to move forward with living donation. My older sister has selflessly taken all the steps needed to go through with this life-saving surgery for Sara. We will all be traveling to Boston to undergo a kidney transplant on July 16th, 2024! There is a long road ahead of us with a lot of appointments following the surgery. I am the sole provider and will be taking time off to help Sara during her recovery.

We are so lucky to have so much support around us and so many willing to help us with our kids and meals, rides, etc. My sister will be needing to take time off of work while she recovers from her donation surgery as well. I'm looking to help her ease the burdens of some of her monthly expenses as well. Thank you so much for anyone who is able to help us make this transition a little easier.
