In January 2024, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma after months of searching for answers about a swollen lymph node. At the time, I was fortunate to have state insurance, which covered all my scans and doctor visits. Even though I chose not to pursue chemotherapy, I have been closely monitored by an oncologist with regular CT scans and blood work. These check-ins are not only helpful for my peace of mind, but also for my husband's. I will never forget the relief we both felt when my oncologist told me last May that she was surprised to see very little change in the lymphoma without conventional treatment.

After a period of intense financial strain and aggressive holistic treatment sessions, I took a full-time job in September 2024 to help support my family. In 2025, we worked hard to get our household finances back on track, but in doing so, I found myself putting my health and healing on the back burner again to prioritize my family's well-being. Now, in 2026, I am recommitting to my healing journey. While our resources are beginning to increase, there is still a wide gap between what we have and what I need to do to heal.

I have always tried to do everything right to support my family, but the financial strain of my diagnosis and treatment is overwhelming. Day to day, some financial support would relieve a ton of stress. Week to week, I feel like I have to ration my treatment because we have so many other demands on our resources. I would love to be able to relax and focus on healing without worrying about whether adding a necessary session will blow our budget.
