Support Sara's Fight Against Rare Cancer
On January 29th, 2025, our family received the news that Sara was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. This was originally misdiagnosed as a pulled muscle, asthma, or a virus. Thankfully, we were recommended to have Sara undergo a CT scan, which then showed the tumor against her chest wall. Doctors believe it originated in her 5th rib, which then had shattered into pieces, causing excruciating pain and troubled breathing. She has an intensive chemo schedule that will last most of this year including surgery to remove the shattered rib and to remove a nodule on her lung. She has been strong, resilient and courageous through all this, and I believe we have shed more tears than she has. We are certain God has His hands on every doctor and nurse that has laid hands on her, whether during treatment or in the operating room. Statistically, 70 percent of patients survive, and we know she will be in that percentile to come through all this. Our family/life has now put Sara as our number one focus while prioritizing our daily life with work, siblings, co-parenting, and keeping up with her education. It absolutely takes a village to get through all our family has been through. Sara loves anything in regards to art and crafting and is now working on becoming a musician and also loves to watch NHL. We hope any donations received will allow Sara to still have the life she was meant to have and to allow her to have any experience she desires. Some of you have asked what you can do to help and some have helped tremendously already but our family would appreciate any donation as we navigate through all of this. Thank you friends and family!
