Dear Family, Friends, and Beautiful Souls,
Sara Gloor and her family have recently been met with devastating news. She has been diagnosed with two forms of breast cancer—one in SITU and the other being Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, stage 2.
Following her diagnosis, genetic testing revealed a CHEK2 mutation. This means Sara will require increased surveillance and ongoing monitoring of other areas of her body moving forward.
Sara is currently scheduled to undergo a bilateral mastectomy with lymph node dissection and reconstruction. Her recovery is expected to take approximately 4–6 weeks, if all goes well. At this time, one concern is her body’s difficulty maintaining weight. Chemotherapy and radiation may be necessary depending on the pathology results following surgery.
At present, Sara’s short-term disability through her workplace remains uncertain, She typically works an additional job during the summer, but due to her recovery and potential treatments, she will be unable to do so this year.
At home, Sara is supported by her amazing husband, Wade, and their beautiful daughter, Trinity. Wade is currently in the process of applying for FMLA; however, even if approved, it will be unpaid. With the household reduced to one income, there is growing concern about managing financial responsibilities while also allowing Wade to be the caregiver Sara will need during her recovery.
If you know Sara, you know her heart. She is selfless, caring, incredibly brave, and deeply empathetic. She is always the first to listen, lend a hand, show up for others, and love without hesitation. She brings light into every room she enters and gives her all to every child she teaches.
We are asking for donations to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward both medical and living expenses, and will help toward the extensive travel back and forth to her appointments. Your support will allow Sara to focus on what matters most—her health and her family.
No donation is too small, and every contribution truly makes a difference. We are deeply grateful for prayers, positive messages, and for sharing this page if you are unable to give. The love and support mean more than words can express.
We will continue to share updates as Sara moves through this journey. Thank you for surrounding her with love, hope, and strength during this time.
