Support Sarai Morgan's Recovery from Hurricane Helene

Hey y'all!! My name is Ally Taylor, and I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Sarai Morgan, who recently lost everything in the devastation we experienced here in Asheville, NC and the Western North Carolina region due to Hurricane Helene.

Sarai’s home was completely flooded, and she’s facing an incredibly difficult road ahead. Tragically, due to a lack of flood insurance (only 1% of Asheville residents had flood coverage), Sarai will not be receiving any insurance payouts to help her rebuild. The only assistance she’s received from FEMA so far is a one-time payment of $750, which is nowhere near enough to cover the immense losses she’s experienced.

Without flood insurance and minimal support from government relief, Sarai is left to rebuild her life from the ground up. She’s lost her home, personal belongings, and much more. But, she hasn’t lost her spirit! Sarai is one of the most kind and resilient people I know, who has always been there for others, and would give the shirt off her own back. She has even spent her time here in Asheville after the storm dedicating her time to help others who have lost everything, even starting a clothing drive, helping at food and supply distributions, and more. Now Sarai needs our help more than ever.
