Hello friends from near and far!
Sarah has been in an intensive residential mental health treatment program in San Diego, CA since April 2024. We have maxed out our resources to pay for this program (they do not take any insurance). We’re looking for help to get Sarah the care she needs to live a long and happy life.
A little bit about Sarah:
She was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) in 2021 at age 25, but has been suffering with her mental health since childhood. Sarah has undergone trauma in life that has made it next to impossible to maintain stable mental health since she was 14 years old. She has worked so hard for years in outpatient treatment, a few other residential programs, outpatient groups, etc. Sarah has built such a strong community and support system within this program in San Diego and it is helping her grow each and every day.
This program has been lifechanging for Sarah, but she still has a ways to go before she is clinically recommended to discharge. She still has a lot of trauma to work through, skills to build, and hope to foster before safely graduating the program.
As scary as it is, BPD has a suicide rate of 1 in 10. Sarah has dealt with chronic suicidality - this treatment is lifesaving for her.
Our family thanks you for any amount you are able to donate!
