Hey friends, family, and supporters,
As many of you know, one of my best friends and teammates, Sarah Colangelo, has dedicated her life to sports, fitness, and dancing. For the past 7 years, she’s been a star player in women’s professional football, giving her all to the game and her teammates. Sarah is an incredible athlete, a talented dancer, and a passionate educator who teaches elementary school P.E. Her commitment to physical fitness isn't just part of her job, its part of who she is.
Sarah’s hard work and skill on the football field were on full display when she earned MVP honors in the 2021 National Championship with the Nevada Storm. She's a powerhouse, a teammate you can always count on, and a true inspiration to anyone who’s ever watched her play.
But on April 26th, during a game against the Nevada Storm while playing for the Cali War, Sarah experienced a devastating injury. She miss-stepped while running, breaking her tibia and tearing her meniscus resulting in an injury that required immediate surgery. She was devastated she couldn’t finish out the game, but even with the injury, Sarah still earned the honor of Player of the Game that day.
Unfortunately, this injury is season-ending and will require significant time for recovery. With her physical therapy and medical expenses stacking up, as well as the reality that she won’t be able to work for several weeks, Sarah is facing a financial challenge that no one should have to face alone. As a female athlete, Sarah already pays to play, and now she’ll also need help covering the cost of her medical bills, daily expenses, and physical therapy as she works toward recovery.
Sarah is incredibly determined to get back on the field and return to doing what she loves, whether it's playing football or dancing on stage. But she can’t do this alone. We’re reaching out to all of Sarah’s supporters, friends, family, teammates, fans, and anyone who believes in her to help cover her recovery expenses.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping Sarah get back on her feet and back to doing what she loves. If you can’t donate, please share this page with your network and keep Sarah in your thoughts as she works through this tough time.
Let’s show Sarah how much she’s loved and supported. Together, we can help her heal, return to the field, and continue inspiring others with her strength, resilience, and passion.
Thank you so much for your support. Let’s help Sarah get back to doing what she does best!
With gratitude,
