Support Sarah's Heart Surgery and Her Kids
Donation protected
I have a teammate that is going to have open heart surgery Monday, July 21st, to do a bypass. She is a 36-year-old single mom of two young kids. She went to the ER last Sunday with SVTs. She has been admitted ever since. Sarah hasn't been an employee long enough to qualify for FMLA. She had finally got out on her own, got an apartment for her and her kids. Even though it's just a 2-bedroom, she made sure that each child had their own room, and she took the couch but sometimes sleeps with her young daughter. She was working full-time with us as a phlebotomist and picked up a weekend job as a hostess at a local restaurant and is also going to school to work her way to becoming a nurse. She got herself a car, not a brand new one, but one she could depend on to get her kids to school and herself to her jobs. She was on a strong path of independence and a role model to her children till this past Sunday when she ended up in the ER. Sarah is a very proud and strong woman, and yes, I have her permission to start this GoFundMe and tell her story. We know that there are a lot of tragedies going on in our world today, and there are a lot of people suffering and struggling. We see this firsthand as healthcare workers, but when it's one of your own and so young, you stand together as a team to help out any way we can. So if it's just a dollar or two, can you please help us reach the goal so we can help Sarah and her children so they don't end up losing everything this proud mom has done for them in these short couple of months.
Update as of 15:57 on July 21 Sarah is out of surgery she ended up with a quadruple bypass. She is in recovery and will be heading to her room in a couple of hours.
Keep praying.
