When I was a few months pregnant, I found a lump in my breast. My doctor and I thought it was just another cyst. When I went back for my 6-week follow-up, I let her know that it was still there. I was sent for a mammogram/ultrasound and then 3 biopsies. Two days later, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, aka breast cancer. My treatment will include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, a double mastectomy, radiation and reconstructive surgery.
I'm sharing this not for sympathy, but because I believe in the power of transparency, community, and connection. I know I'm not alone. Anything you can do to help our family is appreciated. This would help ease the burden of bills while I’m going through treatment. Your love, support, and prayers mean more to me than I can put into words.❤️
Love,
Sarah and family
