Support Sarah Starr's Family Through Crisis and Cancer

Dear Friends,

Our hearts are heavy as we reach out on behalf of our dear friend Sarah Starr, who is facing unimaginable hardship. Hurricane Helene has devastated her family’s home, leaving them to pick up the pieces of their lives. Sarah’s mother, Myrna, is courageously battling stage four uterine cancer, a fight that has already taken an incredible emotional and financial toll. On top of all of this, Sarah's grandmother, Mima—Myrna's mother—fell after Hurricane Milton and is now on life support due to a brain bleed. Mima has been a vital part of their lives and a significant source of emotional support.

Sarah has always been the first to extend her hand when someone is in need, never asking for anything in return. Now, she’s the one in need of help—fighting to support her family through the wreckage of the storm and her mother’s relentless illness. The combination of these crises has left them exhausted, heartbroken, and struggling to find a path forward.

This is a family that deserves to feel love and hope, but right now, they are overwhelmed. We’re reaching out because we believe that with the support of loyal friends and the kindness of strangers, we can help them through this nightmare.

• Rebuilding their home, which has endured over 100k worth of damaged by hurricane Helene. + car damage

• Covering a portion of the medical bills to take some of the financial strain off of Sarah’s father, Mitch, so that he can focus as much as possible on loving and supporting Myrna.

• Providing basic necessities that the family desperately needs to get through each day
